"What I appreciate the most about Jin is his commitment to theatre as a collaborative effort.
He comes to rehearsals with focus, having taken the initiative to understand where his character is coming from. With his scene partners, he negotiates their place in the scene and where they will take the story. And he does not hesitate to discuss possibilities with the director, helping the story be more grounded in real emotions.
On the other side of commitment is care: he cares deeply about the characters of the story, which seems to borrow much from his background as a lawyer. He cares about how the whole ensemble might come together, offering to practice together with his co-actors outside of the usual rehearsal scope.
And he cares about constantly improving, guided by the question, “what more can I do to convey the message of this work?” When working with Jin, you are getting someone passionate about the craft, eager to learn, and excited to listen. Gigil kung gigil, but tempered with care."​
